Prof. Hare has received this prestigious award from the American Physical Society’s Division of Plasma Physics, with the citation “For the development and exploration of pulsed-power experimental platforms to investigate magnetic reconnection in novel regimes and, in particular, their use in the study of reconnection in the presence of strong radiative cooling.” Prof. Hare will present an invited talk on this work at the APS DPP annual meeting in Long Beach CA in November 2025.
